Our second book was The Outsider by Ann H. Gabhart. Ann spoke to us at our book club via phone.
Our third book was an Irishwoman’s Tale. Patti also called during our book club even though she was out of town. She was very fun to talk with and brought to light more aspects of the story that we were not aware of and gave a whole new spin on it. That time we met at Borders and thought it would be too loud to have speaker phone while sitting in the coffee shop so we talked to her while sitting in my car. It was very cozy.
Our fourth book was Last Light by Terri Blackstock. This was the first book we read that wasn’t a fairly new release. One of the gals in our club had it and recommended it so we tried it. We were definitely not disappointed. This book has made me look at my life in a whole new light and consider making changes to my everyday tasks. Every one of us read the rest of the series as well because we were so into the story.
Our fifth book was Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers. Of course, after reading the first we all read through the rest of the series because you couldn’t go without doing that. Oh man, if you haven’t read these books you should put them on your list.
Our sixth and current book is Love Finds you in Last Chance, California by Miralee Ferrell. We will be having our meeting with her on March 27th and we’re meeting at my church because she is coming in person and it was advertised in the newspaper, as well as her book signing for the following day at Borders. We are so excited to have her coming and have been inviting friends like crazy.
